Keyhouse LaunchThe show started with a 3 minute video designed to give everyone a flavour of the new Microsoft Office look and feel of the new .net Keyhouse Practice Management system followed by a 30 minute demonstration by Brian Sweeney.

The new product will be available to clients from January but it’s already installed in several offices and representatives of two of those firms (Neil Butler from N J Butler & Co and Gareth Bourke from Bourke & Co) also spoke at the launch giving their views on their experience with the software to-date.

Below is a small extract from Neil Butler’s talk “The new interface uses many features from Microsoft Office that will be familiar and thus ease adoption – the ribbon style bar menu but most usefully, a very strong right-click menu. It’s also far more flexible in the way it allows information to be accessed and manipulated.  The Search feature is a quantum improvement – the indexing engine allows quick discovery of document names, partial names, parties, even text snippets

Gareth Bourke finds the difference between the old and new system “sensational”.  He said the new system is “much easier to use and to navigate – just sleek with information far easier and quicker to access and thinks “the preview screen in the case diary is an excellent addition and monitoring critical dates and entries couldn’t be easier.”

This new software product simplifies the end-user experience but still delivers a lot of key functionality which has always been the hallmark of Keyhouse. To use tech speak it translates into – “minimum input for maximum output”.
